Did my Christmas cards one year, in mid-August when too hot to work in the yard. Cards had been purchased after Christmas along with Christmas stamps. For once I was organized. Only problem, I couldn’t find the cards. When I found the cards, I couldn’t find the stamps. Two years later I found cards, stamps and they went in the mail the week of Christmas. So much for trying to be organized and avoiding the Christmas panic and rush.
At least you’re sending real cards, and not e-mails. Besides, those address labels show consideration for the hard-working sorting machines that have trouble reading some handwriting. So your card to South Bergen, New Jersey won’t end up in Smoot, Wyoming.
That is my girlfriend xmas card tradition for the last 15 years. I have to check the address label to see they have move to a new place from previous year.

I used to send Xmas cards without signing them, and notes inserted saying that I leave them blank so they can be reused.

Just to order cards and get them out into the mail is a lot of work, so I know they’re a labor of love, haha!

It’s the thought that counts. Personally, I send some cards each year, though I don’t go overboard. At least, I try not to …
