So that in 6 months the electronics industry can scam you into buying a new one with all the latest features you don’t want anyway.
I am not sold on IoT (Internet of Things). Nobody really needs an oven than can be hacked remotely and burn down your house. I’m a computer programmer, not a Luddite. Security on mass-produced IoT consumer goods is generally laughable.
