I don’t even wear socks. No shoes even. It’s just me and me bear feet.

Pluggers have never bought their own socks because they think only Santa Wife can provide socks, and it’s just once a year.

Yes, I need to replace my socks.

They just don’t make them like they use to ;-)

Likely cause because it’s the only thing that gets worn out.

My wife, God bless ’er, is one of those pluggers.

I wear socks at night and walk around in them in the morning. My wife found some with extra heavy soles and toes.

Mine does because he’ll wear them until there is only a top part still hanging on by a thread to the ankle part.

Yeah, I still get underwear, but now I actually wear it out rather than outgrow it.

My daughter-in-law is a big fan of novelty socks.

Can always use more socks!

Some friends and I are making a Christmas eve delivery to the homeless on the streets here. Socks will be part of that delivery, along with gloves, t-shirts, some coats, blankets, tarps. The cool thing is the homeless are giving us a gift that is so much more than what we are giving them. . . . We are getting the gift of Sharing.

By the time you get to be a plugger you have all the toys you need and the money to buy new ones.. but a plugger never buys his own clothes or socks.. so as gift, perfect.

I look forward to getting socks, but not many opportunities arise these days.

…and that’s the way it started during the War Years.. Now, it’s ‘Hospital Socks’ that fill the bill…
