Now that is a practical keynote speech! I remember going to a three day company meeting (when I was working for a reasonable size multinational) which was the annual kick off for Sales, Marketing, high level goals, blah, blah, blah. The one thing I remember was a presentation from someone about public speaking where she talked about really practical stuff – what to do with your hands when on stage if your nervous, how to compose yourself if you lose train of thought, that sort of thing. The rest – something, something, “Lasers!” – something, something “Market Leadership” – something, something – “Customer relationship is THE sustainable business advantage” …
