That would also be a cast-astrophe. Never put a cast iron skillet in a dishwasher unless you plan on totally reworking it. Pancakes would stick like crazy LOL.
I remember reading a story years ago in which the cook annually ‘cleaned’ her cast-iron skillet by putting it into the fireplace and watching the residue ‘ping’ off. Never was in a place where I could try it to see if it worked.

Yeah… he’s not really up on the difference between sarcasm and irony…
but give him a break…
He’s a seasoned pro… but he’s usually required for heavier roles.
He does well when the heat is on, but he’s having to re-learn the skillet takes to tell jokes.
He’ll get a handle on it….
I’m sure he’s got a few good cracks in him.
Right now, he’s just a little rusty.

My husband takes care of all my cast iron, because my father-in-law would toss it in the dishwasher or use scrubbers on it shudder
