A “Home Movies” episode had the kids doing an improvised song and dance about rice for a school project – so ‘dirt’ would be just as viable a subject.

Future talk show host – digging for dirt on someone…

I don’t know why but I find Alice’s comment is hilarious!

Somebody ought to give Petey a copy of Dale Carnegie’s book.

In 4th Grade, I did a song about photosynthesis. My classmates were green with envy.

Maybe Petey can do a recitation of interesting facts while Andre provides the interpretive animation, ie., a little slap stick and the visuals and sound effects, with plenty of KABOOMs! Eroding soil KaBOOMs, doesn’t it?

Or Petey could compose a song about soil erosion and play it on his oboe, while Andre does interpretive dance.

Alice, meanwhile, lives in her own Alice-centric universe, but at least she has a positive attitude….
