In the French tradition, charcuterie (pronounced “shahr-ku-tuh-ree”) is the art of preparing and assembling cured meats and meat products. Usually pork based. In the 2020 cancel culture tradition, it is a cheese plate (and also fruit, if you want to get fancy).
I figured out a trick to minimize the squirrels’ raids on my hanging bird feeders—I sprinkle a bunch of sunflower seeds on the concrete patio—the squirrels have to hunt through all the empty shells (I only sweep up every few weeks, so there’s a lot!) to find enough to satisfy them, which takes them long enough for the birds to have their chance at the feeders without being chased out by the squirrels. I get a kick out of watching them picking through the litter and nibbling away—they’re so doggoned cute!

You know, this is the nicest depiction of a fat woman (speaking as one) that I have ever seen. She is charming.

Where did I read it the other day? A charcuterie board is just Lunchables for grownups.

Formally (traditionally), charcuterie trays or plates do not contain cheese; normally they contain meats and condiments.

Rodents HAVE to chew. Otherwise, their teeth grow into their brains!
