You’re gonna have some explaining to do when I don’t make any friends along the way.

An exercise in circular reasoning.

That circle on the map is pretty obvious.

Marigold is pretty sly, isn’t she?

I love to do pattern dancing. Not lately, alas. The joke is, that once the pattern is complete, you’re right back where you started, having “wasted” quite a bit of good music in the process. This joke generalizes to anything that’s fun for its own sake.

As usual, I love Marigold’s expressions. Especially the fifth panel, a look I can’t recall seeing on her before.

“I walk in a big circle, and come back here, and then you tell me the real treasure is unicorns.”

^(senses assumptions in this dialogue)

“I’ll totally still do it! I just wanted you to know I’m smart.”

^(dislikes dialogue)

Marigold’s expression in Panel 5 just speaks VOLUMES.

“Who finds a friend finds a treasure”…anyone seen or remember this film?

It’s funny that the map path is literally a circle. C’mon Marigold; didn’t you learn anything about convoluted routes from reading ‘The Family Circus’?

Ah Unicorns; they’re so humble and self-effacing…

Shouldn’t it be are unicorns

Phoebe knows Marigold so well.

The treasure could also be an adventure between two friends, say a little girl and a unicorn.

Walking is good exercize, even if it’s just going ’round in a circle! ;)
