Tony’s QOTD: How young are you?

    Mentally or physically?

One of the great disappointments of growing old is having a mind of a 16 yo with the knowledge and physical limitations of a senior citizen.

Part of my job involves work with young children. They only know three ages: Kid, Teenager, and Old.

Life stages, you learn to eat, you learn to crawl, next you can walk and then you polish your act. My stage is that I cant dance and I have to think about going for a walk. I guess I’ve regressed to stage 3 again. I hope the time span between ages is longer going out.

Being your age is mandatory. Acting your age is optional.

25 or 80 whatever?—-guaranteed that when that kid is 24 he will want his next birthday to be his 25th and not his 80th.

typical , though. all kids will live forever and will never age —-just like Dagwood, Henry Mitchell and Hi Flagston

From an episode of Midsomer Murders, as the cops are leaving a nursing home:

20-something DS – “Who’d want to live to be 88??”

    50-something DI – “Someone who’s 87?”
