In many areas, they are being left up at least till the end of January to honor first responders.

What’s so darn wrong with leaving them up until after Valentine’s Day if you want. Who are these self-righteous Xmas light overlords. We have enough of those around the country right now.

At least leave them up until the weather gets a little warmer. It’s too cold to be out climbing ladders!

We will leave our Christmas lights on through January as well, because I come from a family of firefighters and police officers. Some are no longer with us, some are retired, some are still on the job, working harder than ever during Covid.

Some leave their tree and decorations up for the Orthodox celebration! Besides, in this pandemic, entering its second year, who WOULDN’T benefit from the joy it brings?

I’m with Red. Leave them up as long as possible. We take down Christmas specific decorations by Twelfth Night and keep any winter decorations up until January 31st and then Valentine’s Day, St Patty’s Day, …. and on and on.

As hard as it is being, we all need to shine our light as brightly as we are able in these dark times. Sent with tears, Jeffin

If your team is in the playoffs, change the colors to those of your local NFL team. Who would object?

Leave them up at least until the Wise Men arrive. Three Kings’ Day is 6 January, I think.

How sad that even in a comic strip as innocent as “Red and Rover,” the pessimism of Democrat politicians must intrude.

Someone asked about Epiphany: It is the day the three wise men (sometimes referred to as three kings) reached Bethlehem and gave gifts of frankincense, gold and myrrh to Jesus.
