I love Tess’ profile in panel 2. Did I miss something, when did ‘Jack’ interrupt them?

“Jack” POT! Ha, ha, ha! But seriously, he’ll be here all week, try the linguine, and remember… tip your server.

Hopefully at some point they hire a new writer for this strip.

In those sample strips that were linked the other day did anyone notice the duckie in the sunday strip(s)?

The artwork has improved 100%, and Dick has even said something witty and funny. I don’t think he’s done that in years. I hope Mr Brozman does as well with Lizz, because lately she looks like someone does after rogor mortis sets in. (And she used to be such a fun gal.) I’m happy with the direction this strip is STARTING to turn.

    A PHOTO-COPY CAT, ARTIST REVEALED ?

We have suspected for sometime now that Locher has an insidious “short cut” habit (apathy perhaps?) of repeating the SAME (identical) panel several times in a story. Congrats GROC ! Yours, was more than a “silver” nail in the coffin, it was a “stake” through the cheating heart of (long surviving), habitual offender. Pity the Collector who buys those ‘original art’, strips … unseen.

For, last night, thanks to neonleon59’s follow up supporting post I was motivated to photocopy the three panels and blow them up to do a fine detail comparison. Sure enough it was all there, EXACT copies OF EACH other. the precise “placement” of “snowflakes” around the Sunny Dell Acres sign the larger and smaller flakes in “identical” locations, and a fat flake on the left of the walkway. Then, located on the door’s left (down) panel there was an obscure black “dot” perfectly duplicated in the same place, in ALL three presentations, proving beyond any doubt that the were paste up photocopies.

They seemed to stand there like “triplets” shouting, “DLyoulazyphoto-copyier”

Those that enjoy a state of Dicky ‘denial’ can easily check the panels themselves.

DATES: March 6th, 10th, and 19th. Look for the placement and sizes of the snow flakes in front of the house and left walkway.

    Thanks again GROC !

Looking into my Dick Tracy crystal ball I see another long dark tunnel with no lights.

I would say that the artwork has improved somewhat, but not vastly. Perspective is still way off base, as you can see in panel one with the size of Tracy’s head in relation to the rest of his body!

And seeing DL’s design on Tess…drab as ever. I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much on a new Lizz.

Jack who??? I heard his last name is Mehoff. Viva las Broz. Re the duplicate panels. Jim Davis has been doing that for 10 years.

“I only started reading Dick Tracy a few months ago for the comments. If this strip gets good again it may not be near as fun anymore.”

Now that would be ironic. A strip losing readers because it improves.

Enough of Annie!!!!!! I am so sick of her! May we have the real facts of this never ending storyline and get onto a new one???? The previous writers on their worst day were better than this.

The artwork on this strip is consistently fantastic and very Gouldian.Does anyone know where I can find the DT strip from 1985 to 2001??
