Motivation! What makes me smh and chuckle is having had students who did something similar: After acing the mid-term, they calculated how little work they would have to do the rest of the course to still pass.
Lessee now. Four 30 minute quarters make an hour, so a day has 24 120 minute hours? We had different time when I was a kid.
In my day (shortly after the last ice age) summer school is what you got if you didn’t get a passing grade. Or get held back.

Gee, when you say it in minutes, it sounds forever.
Proof that Math Grades would improve if only teachers & tests asked the Right Questions.
