Was cheap out of necessity but the habit stuck. My cousin is a multi-millionaire but on trips he takes the motels toilet paper, tissues, soaps, etc. Come to think about, when we dine together, at the end of the meal he often disappears just before the bill arrives…..
I had a friend at El Poyo Loco a long time ago that would hook me up with unsold chicken if I showed up around closing time. Then I would give her a ride home and she didn’t have to wait for the bus. It was mutually satisfying.

Eno would rather retrieve it from the dumpster tomorrow.

It is a shame that some people in America go hungry and a ton of food ends up in the dumpster. I know it’s a law suit thing and logistics but still.

Tomorrow that chicken will reappear with a better date.

Or just root in the dumpster one minute after closing.

Used to be a Church’s chicken nearby. If you went in the last 15 minutes before closing, you could get a heck of a deal on whatever was left.

Not if we have to cook it.
