I’ve actually found this to be untrue. Pessimists usually find the dark side even when things go right whereas optimists tend to find something to be happy about even in the worst of times.
Husband and I have a saying “Nothing is so bad that it can’t get worse – and probably will.”
We went through a rough patch of everything going wrong and everything we did needing to be done over and over (like an version of “Groundhog Day”) for 18 months – we KNEW that 2020 was going to be finally be a good year. Ha ha!

I’m an optimistic pessimist…I’m POSITIVE things are going to get worse.

Things almost have to be better. But that is setting the bar pretty low.

We’re all hoping it’ll be better than last year. It could be worse but it wouldn’t take much.
