Having done a bunch of these kinds of trips for business over my career – it was never worth it for me to be away from home. Sure I would get out and hit a bucket of balls now and then – but it was just to pass the time.
I’ve had business trips where we did a small amount of tourist stuff. They’re still business trips, really. I’ve also had the kind where we worked through both lunch and dinner and were still working until right before turning out the lights, repeated for three or four days. On one of the worst trips, I had the stomach flu on the day I was supposed to do all-day training with the client. My boss took care of the training while I was miserably sick in the hotel room.

The last time I had a business trip, the only bonus was free donuts.

One time I stayed at a 4 star hotel and it was nice. Still not like home.

The term ‘business trip’ is quite elastic, I see.

What is she so upset about? It’s not like he can take her and the kids along.

The balls drive farther when they are frozen solid unless they crack.
