A good idea is never wasted. I have far more sketches and notes for projects than I will ever complete, but I can combine best elements into the occasional “masterpiece”. I recently inked a pencil sketch from the 80s and combined it with an ink drawing from the 2000s (which had originally been a photograph) to produce a lovely tribute to both subjects. The title translates as “Spirit of the Coffeehouse”
Creative people have this problem. Their minds are always in turmoil as new ideas fight for the artist’s attention. One idea must be grasped tightly and allowed to grow and bear fruit. My problem is that I have ideas, but mine are greased like the proverbial pig and cannot be grasped but escape and disappear.
I have a whole craft room mostly filled with unfinished projects. But, I do finish a lot, too. Sometimes they aren’t turning out the way I pictured or I change to something I’m more interested in at the time. I think you found a good idea, though.

The trouble with boiling an egg is that you have to leave it alone long enough for everything to set up.
