BIG NATE AND THE WRATH OF GODFREY: PART 4

Nate and Teddy are standing right in front of Mrs. Godfrey, who is looking down on them menacingly. She sees Robot Francis in Teddy’s hands. She grabs it from him, looks at it, and throws it behind her.

Mrs. Godfrey: So… I suppose you found out about it.

Nate: The- the robot?

Mrs. Godfrey: Yes. You might also be wondering where the real Francis is.

Teddy: Nate… let’s get out of here.

Nate and Teddy try to walk away from the situation, but Mrs. Godfrey puts her hands on both of their shoulders and bents down.

Mrs. Godfrey: Not so fast, you two… you want to see where the real Francis is?

Nate: Umm… yes…?

Teddy: Nate! No!

Mrs. Godfrey: Well then…

Mrs. Godfrey grabs Nate and Teddy and runs to the school exit. However, both of them escape and run the other direction. Mrs. Godfrey chases after them.

Mrs. Godfrey: HEY! STOP RIGHT THERE!

Nate and Teddy hide themselves in the boy’s restroom. They get into a stall and lock it.

Mrs. Godfrey: BOY’S RESTROOM OR NOT, I’M GOING IN!

Nate (whispering): Oh no! Teddy, what do we do?

Teddy (whispering): I don’t know! Maybe crawl under the stalls?

Nate (whispering): Great idea!

They get down and crawl under the stalls. Mrs. Godfrey sees them and tries to grab both of them, but only gets Teddy and pulls him towards her.

Nate: TEDDY!

I thought that this would have a chance of showing growth in Nate. Yes, I know, it isn’t finished, It could still happen.

Instead we just get to see Francis as a shallow jerk. Evan is just some poor kid, desperate to be liked. Instead he gets soundly rejected.

I think this arc is gonna go on slightly longer with Evan getting so angry at Francis that he try’s to beat him up, then Nate interferes and saves the day. Either that or Nate decided he doesn’t want Francis back or decideds that he needs to pay his way in (with cheez doodles)

We definitely saw that coming. Let’s see just how gracious Nate is in Victory…….

this is a pretty long story arc. longest one that involves nate and francis not being friends.

That’s what happens when you make someone choose.

Best thing to do anytime anyone tells you that you have to choose between them and someone else. That is a huge red flag. Overly possessive and jealous people only make your life miserable, cost you friends and family, and end up abusing you either emotionally or physically.

Kinda feel sorry for this Evan kid. He’s obviously frustrated and doesn’t seem to be very well liked. Hope it passes.
