One good thing to remember about the lottery is there’s the same chance the numbers 1,2,3,4,5, and a power/mega ball of 6 could be drawn as any other set of numbers.

Lottery is a volunteer tax for the mathematically inept.

One of the odder lotto occurrences: several hundred people hit with the same numbers in the NY lotto. Turned out the numbers were from a fortune cookie printing.

With my luck I’d get lottery tickets that would require me to pay more money to the lottery.

Tis a lesson to be learned, don’t expect much from playing the lottery.

I remember reading in a book once (i’ll have to go see if I can find it) about how there was a state lottery structured in such a way that it was possible to come out ahead, provided you were able to purchase a large number of tickets and the jackpot had not been hit a certain number of times. There was actually a buyers club set up to purchase tickets on a schedule and it always delivered a win. If I can find it, i’ll reply back here.

The last time I bought (Colorado) lottery tickets was May 2005.
