Wet Dog is widening now! He is moving like a tremendous machine! Wet Dog by twelve, Wet Dog by fourteen lengths on the turn! Air Freshener is dropping back. It looks like they’ll catch him today, as Roast Cooking and Dumpster Aroma are both coming up now. But Wet Dog is all alone! He’s out there almost a sixteenth of a mile away from the rest of the field! Wet Dog has opened a 22-length lead! He is going to be the Triple Clothespin winner!
There are a lot of smells worse than drying wet dog but no smell quite like it…although if I had to describe it, it’s like being downwind from the Milorganite factory after a rainy day…
Hmm. I never had that problem. Possibly because I deploy towels, multiple thick fluffy towels which dry the dogs off quickly and, most important, odorlessly. (Of course, now the towels have to be washed, but that’s what washing machines and dryers are for.)
First pirate I have ever seen that uses air freshener. Next he’l be taking baths, and using >gasp< deodorant. Forget the looting and drinking, it’s pirates like that who give pirates a bad name.
Something doesn’t add up. There’s a fire in the fireplace, but in Panel #2, there’s no chimney or smoke to be seen rising from the ship. Looks like Chip Dunham has been mixing the peyote with the mescal again…

I had a Golden Retriever so am familiar with the wet dog aroma!
Also had 10 cats over the years and the only smell that I encountered was when they visited the cat litter!
Regardless, I loved them all.

Wet dog, dry dog, dog farts, dog breath, puppy feet that smell like Fritos, All are odors of love and loyalty. Can’t smell ‘em any other way.

TRUE. And when your dog is waiting for you to come home, jumps up, tail wagging, some hugging, nothing can top that.

Ahh … the “extra perks” of having pets. Life wouldn’t be the same without them, huh?
Happy Sunday, Crew.
