If Cathy is in isolation, why is her mother’s junk is in her apartment???

We’re a mixed household with two January birthdays. By the time Valentine’s day is over the mountain of Chanukah, Christmas, birthday, and Valentine’s Day boxes and wrap is daunting.

First, thank you for being readers and followers of Cathy for so long. For those who have been wondering….Cathy, Irving and the daughter they were expecting when the strip ended are living happily ever after someplace. They’re not divorced or separated! I brought Cathy back solo for these single panel cartoons so she/I could commiserate about these times. Except that she’s older, it’s sort of back to how the strip started, with Cathy more literally voicing what I’m going through. There wouldn’t be room in these to pick up the story line of the comic strip and characters. It was very hard to end the strip when I did, but I was hoping that the future of “that” Cathy – with Irving and her daughter – could live on in the imaginations of readers.

It’s recycling before it became official.

You can actually use your heated iron to iron out the “been used” creases in pretty wrapping paper you want to save to use again. Don’t ask me how I know.

My garage is full of shipping boxes!

What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good box???

The running joke every holiday and birthday is “How many presents will there be in boxes from stores that ceased to exist more than 10 years ago?”

Yup—I’ve been known to [ahem] … horde … a thing or two, myself. Y’know, in theory, anyway. Ha.
