I see a couple of things here. One, is that a working gate? If so, why is he making you climb? I’m going to guess it isn’t a gate. Don’t know what it could be, though. Second, it looks as if you could go under it. Why not do that since it would be a LOT easier unless you just have to give it a go and climb over. Basset are notoriously stubborn, but I still think easier is the way to go.
