I have a couple of feral cats I feed. I’ve seen raccoons, opossums, sandhill cranes, blue jays & once an ibis (I live in Central Florida), but so far no squirrels. We do have them, but I know the neighborhood has bird feeder. Guess they prefer that.
I watched a show once where they tried to “squirrel proof” a bird feeder. They kept adding obstacles, and they squirrels kept finding ways around them, even working in teams to get the seed. Those squirrels never met my cat!
I have a resident blue jay who becomes quite adamant when the suet feeder goes empty. That sucker will land right next to my ear and chirp VERY LOUDLY until I get the message. You know what they say, “It’s the squeaky jay who gets the peanut butter suet.” :)

Hey yellow canary. The birds have options to get rid of squirrels. Call for help from a super bird like an eagle or a falcon.

The squirrels aren’t nearly as bad as the greedy starlings.
