Unfortunately, no matter what your situation, the bills never stop. You do what you have to for the almighty bills.
Maybe the church can just give you the money as a gift. That way, you won’t have to pay taxes on it.
I worked as a programmer. I wasn’t great but I was above average. It paid much better than the things I’m actually good at.
