Ah, ASMR. I’d forgotten what that was called. Since I don’t experience it, I’ll never know what I’m missing.

On the other hand, I feel sorry for those who listen to great classical music and never get goosebumps.

My brain is cheap and easy. I like it that way. A little coffee, a sticky bun and we’re good to go. Well, at least as good going as we’re going to get.

I’m a little surprised Adam knew about ASMR, though it seems he’s more aware of the scientific term than the popular use of it. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/sleepless-in-america/201809/what-is-asmr-and-why-are-people-watching-these-videos

ASMR? Had to look it up: "Coined in 2010, ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is a relaxing, often sedative sensation that begins on the scalp and moves down the body. Also known as “brain massage,” it’s triggered by placid sights and sounds such as whispers, accents, and crackles."

It seems more like he is distracting himself in the hopes that his subconscious will pop out an idea just to stop the nonsense. Some people called it a “process”, others realize it’s just goofing off when you’ve run out of ideas. What I do is something useful around the house. A few minutes later, I can feel my brain working again.

Hard to get? More like Hide-and-Seek, a game he has been playing for many years.

Well, I had to look it up, but now I know what ASMR chills (tingles) are. So, the strip was educational today.
