Ever pick up the coat of an honest to goodness Plugger? There’s everything but the kitchen sink in there. But of course maybe we just haven’t found the sink yet.
The scale at my doctors office has two walker-style grab bars on either side. I use them to hoist myself just a little bit, to get to a number that I’d like to see.
That’s ‘cause the nurses never compensate for the clothes and stuff, then tell you you are overweight. Told the nurse once that those were fight’n words and to get down to my fight’n weight we’d have to get the scale out of the hallway and into a exam room. She passed and took off 8 pounds.
I consider myself, yes…obese, although(since several year-ago now)no longer morbidly-so.
But still, I feel redemption when a younger fellow-male walks in, weighs in LESS-than me..but looks like they’re sneakin’ in a 25-pound bottle of LP-gas, size-wise…!☺
While in the waiting room, they had me fill out a questionnaire about depression. Then they called me n and weighed me. I was like “Can I have that clipboard back?”
Almost as bad as stepping on the scale is when they check your height. I’ve been shrinking, so it looks like my height to weight ratio is getting worse. That’s frustrating. Since retiring I’ve actually lost 25 pounds, getting back to my high school/college age weight.

Heck, on those days I even go without underwear or socks. A fresh haircut and leave my teeth at home.

I ask if they can subtract the weight of the two concrete blocks in my pockets.

I’d go to the doctor more often if it wasn’t for that #$%#$%^ scale.

Don’t forget going to the bathroom, getting a haircut and breathing out deeply before getting on the scale is a BIG help!
