I didn’t really learn about layers and the right weight of clothes until I lived in the midwest. In still air I could stand in really cold weather in light weight clothes, but as the wind picked up – man!
I always wondered about those women I dated who would complain about the cold but not button up their sweaters – like these were two utterly unrelated concepts. :)

Two brothers lived about 1/4 mile down the road. On a chilly fall day, one would be in his winter coat and the other would still be shirtless.
