I love how his parents have accepted the fact that Sterling can melt through shadows and they will never catch him by force or speed.

There was an old Twilight Zone that revolved around a space ship with humans, landing in a house that was occupied by a huge (to them) woman (Agnes Morehead). They were of course the ETs after all. Well, I think I found their abandoned spaceship in panel one!
