“My cat is soft,” is not a good comeback. Despite his taller size the cousin is a little younger – look at him knowingly, sigh with resignation, and assure him that “Some day you’ll understand,” in regard to why hanging around with girls is a nice thing.
In high school, I envied my friend, Danny, for being so comfortable around all the hot girls. Then, in college he came out of the closet. Now, I’m sure there’s a life lesson or two in there somewhere.
In the 50’s when I was in elementary school, we did not know about “gender identity”. If you were a girl and could not jump rope without getting your feet tangled up or couldn’t bounce a ball and catch it, we would call you a “sissy”. To us that was someone who was clumsy and uncoordinated.

Interesting confrontation. I’m sorry for the cousin. He probably go to a bad school full of bullies.

In my school days that was the case, but I wonder how “Gender Identity” has since changed that.

Is that still a thing? And I wonder if the cousin is hiding his “soft side” because he’s been beaten up at school.
