Today I asked Siri for help. The response was not even close to what I needed, twice. I yelled at Siri, “You are useless!” I got a response, “That’s not nice!” For about 10 minutes Siri would not respond.
It’s not like Siri, Bixby, Alexa, & Co. monitor everything now, is it? Oh wait, yes that’s exactly what they are. They’re data collection systems for sales, services, and advertisements. But that technology could/would never be misused. Would it? Naw… muah hahaha (twirls the end of his long black mustache as he walks away from the church that’s past due on its mortgage, the burning orphanage, & the damsel tied to the railroad tracks).
I must have a dumb TV because I talk to it all the time, but it never answers. And when I push the mic button to talk to Alexa, ‘she’ can’t find any channels or movies on my TV so ‘she’ isn’t too smart either.
I’m telling you, if we keep making our machines “smarter” then before you know it a naked Arnold Schwarzenegger drops from the sky and starts killing people. Siri is just a step towards Skynet.
People stopped being smarter than their TVs when they started allowing themselves to be programmed and indoctrinated by the BS they are consistently exposed to by that pernicious medium.

TVs are “smart” but the programming they offer these days is quite “dumb” indeed! ;D

And we are not even engaged!

Don’t worry, you’re still way way way smarter than your TV.

The Biden press lady does the same thing. I will circle back to you when I figure out how to lie about it.

My GPS lady has a tendency to become frustrated if I deviate from the route that she has endorsed.
