Reminds me of a stunt I used to pull with my 1968 Mercedes diesel. The glow plug indicator was a round grate on the dashboard that looked like a microphone, and the windshield washer was controlled by a foot pedal on the floor. So, I’d tell passengers that Mercedes had voice activated windshield wipers. I’d lean forward, intone “RAIN” into the grate and work the wiper pedal with my foot. You wouldn’t believe how many people fell for that one… :D
Does kind of make me think of a story I heard. Apparently, some decades back (I can’t remember which, but probably sometime around the height of the Cold War) the military was working on a secret project experimenting with EM frequencies, I believe for communication purposes, in a sort of transmitter, somewhere in California. They ended up having to rethink the whole project though after they discovered their transmitter was causing all the garage doors in people’s homes within range (which was up to some miles) to open at once every time they turned it on. :P

I bet the highest note Marigold can sing is above Phoebe’s hearing range.

You find a surprising amount of philosophy in a Penn and Teller magic trick.

Anyone using ultra-sonic garage door openers? In the 1970s I had one for the TV.
