I registered my family (all of us are in what is designated Group 1b) early in the morning on the first day our county allowed registration for the vaccine. This is now weeks ago and we have not heard anything about an appointment for any of us, nor is there any way for us to check for any indication of our position on any queue. It is very frustrating.
But it becomes more frustrating every time some occupation or another gets itself declared “essential” and jumps ahead of those of us who any notion of actual “triage” would normally prioritize (my wife and I are elderly and both have several exacerbating conditions, and my daughter is Down syndrome, has an artificial heart valve and has lungs badly injured during the artificial valve’s implantation). If any one of us gets it, we are ALL likely to die from it.
Saw the story about women disguised as “grannies” trying to jump the vaccination queue. I looked at myself in the mirror and realized I might have to “age up” to get my shot. I don’t look a day over 64. :)
