Not only has it become more convenient paying for things with my VISA card, I now have enough money from Rewards to pay for a trip to Hawaii (if and when we feel it is safe to travel, lol). Plus, keeping our checkbook is so easy, since we pay it off 3 or 4 times a month. Beats writing all those trips to the grocery store, gas, etc, etc.
Reminds me of a friend who told a potential thief “I don’t have time for this.” Then she stepped off the curb and wove through traffic, leaving him flummoxed.
Two muggers approached me one night on a NYC platform. They had their hands in their pockets like that. When they got close I pulled out my gun (I was an FBI agent then) and just displayed it without pointing it at them. They left hastily. I went back to reading my Jane Austen.
