Independent, no-nonsense, realist, independent Republican* governor of Texas has determined the first thing that should be done in order to fix the Texas electricity problems.

Now, THAT is one ingenious solution, certainly one none of them socialist communist fascists in the federal government couldda come up with, eh? I tell ya, those Republicans* are bloody geniuses, wot?

Ayn Rand used her husband’s surname to get Medicare, Robert Nozick lived in a rent-controlled apartment. Haven’t come across a free marketeer yet who wasn’t a hypocrite eventually. For Republican politicians it may as well be part of the job description.

And don’t forget our Lt Governor who said Grandparents would be willing to die of COVID to keep the economy going now has stated it was the consumer fault for being hit by super high electric bills……by not reading the fine print on that really good looking deal on super cheap electricity…..even though you had no service you still paid. My state can be an embarrassment at times. There are still places….low income apts without water due to the owners being unable to pay for repairs to the pipes and property.

What do you wanna bet Rick Perry was someplace warm and safe? Well, maybe not quite as warm as Cancun!

I read a comment from one Texan that went on and on about how he had a stove and wood and generator and all kinds of things to see him thru the crisis and didn’t understand why people who live in Dallas couldn’t do the same!! Yep!

We all need to understand that republicans leaders don’t really dislike socialism itself, they just need the name to use as club to misinform their voters to get reelected. After all, Mecicare, Medicade, highways, trains, airports, Social Security, Police, Fire Dept’s., EMS and Franking privileges are all socialist. Maybe if we all stopped voting for tribal “isms” and just voted for good ideas, good people, wherever they come from….

But look at all those jobs he’s creating for servants, not to mention lawyers and lobbyists.

Hey, let’s use other people’s money to do it.

Texas power companies remind me of big banks.

He’s “simple folk” alright. In more ways than one.

These are the same kind of folks who say “Keep The Gubbmint’ Away From my Medicare!”.

No, no, no. The whole cause of the problem is windmills. Didn’t you get the memo? Windmills don’t work in the cold; that’s why places like Canada don’t use them and….what’s that? How much power does Canada get from them? And it’s cold there? Um, yeah, about that…QUICK! LOOK OVER THERE! IT’S SOCIALISM!

Public schools, roads, mail service, etc are socialist. Anything the government does to serve the people is socialist. Socialism is a scary word for Republicans. It is necessary for Republicans to use scary words to convince their base that they should remain loyal to a system that isn’t working for them, because if they actually understood that they are voting against their own best interests they wouldn’t be Republicans. They have been taught that socialism is scary. 1%er owned news outlets have been telling them so for about 40 years now. So, if they are told someone is socialist, they don’t educate themselves to find out exactly what they are supposed to be afraid of. After all, they know it’s bad, and that’s all they need to know.
