Just look at the details and perspectives in the first one. While all three have great three dimensional depths and well drawn artwork, the outdoors and cafe indoors scenes is splendidly done with depths and details.
My dad was one of the bank officers who was in charge of locking the vault at night, and I was with him on some occasions. Those impressive vault doors usually had a clock mechanism located on the inside of the door and before closing and locking the vault the mechanism needed to be set for the number of hours and minutes before the door could be opened. A mistake in calculating the time could cause the bank to delay opening in the morning. There was no way to override that mechanism, and it would have kept Bozo out of there. Of course this was 60-70 years ago and a lot may have changed by now.
1. Perhaps this is the origin of the development of “tofurky”? I cannot imagine the gobbler would want to be a cannibal. :) A wonderful Thanksgiving comic!
2. Mrs. Snooty is not so damn perfect after all! Good for Bozo to show her so.
3. In the greater scheme of things…. food is valuable fuel for the body, so it does need protection.
My insurance agency moved into a building that used to be a bank. The vault is still there. (They couldn’t very well take it with them when they moved out.) I asked the insurance ladies what they keep in there and they said paper clips … forms …
