And once again, great comics with great artwork. A big thumbs up, once again, for Foxo’s marvellous masterpiece, the wordless wonder Bozo!
Beautifully done artwork with three dimensional depths rendered superbly on two dimensional paper. Take your time and see every panel while you relax, my friends. They’re all drawn with such great skill and care by a master cartoonist.
Cops in all three strips here. Crime problem in Bozoville? And the cops should be keeping an eye on Umbrella Guy, who knows what he’s planning? Or as I often think, it may be that there are numerous umbrella guys who all dress the same. We don’t know what he looks like, after all.
George Formby in 1937 wrote a song “Leaning on the lamppost” which later Herman Hermits had a hit in the 60’s. I wonder if this is where Foxo Reardon got his idea. Probably not, but I am a big fan of Peter Noone AKA as Herman of Herman Hermits.
GoComics could add Bozo en Español at very little expense. A translator could spend an hour translating titles for the next several years, and no need to fit the words into word balloons.
1)Reading by the light: Bozo reading by lamp light. Cop rousts him so he picks up the street lamp and walks away.
2)Weighing his options: Bozo sees a big fish being weighed so he wants to do it for himself. He jumps up and ties himself on it to see like an acrobat.
3)Bowling thunder: At a bowling alley when it is Bozo’s turn he throughs the ball so hard it smashes out the brick wall scoring a strike. And a bill to fix it.

Looking for the “Umbrella Man” is almost as much fun as looking for dead Ginger in The Big Picture before the re-runs.
