1 At least they left him the flag.

2 Shine a man’s shoes and he’ll strut for a day. Teach him to shine shoes and you’ll make fifty bucks.

3 Milkman, keep those bottles quiet.

3: Back in the day when the cops could snooze on the night shift – was it ever like that? Also the days of milk/dairy truck delivery to your door – or feet in this case. Fuzzy in the last panel – surprise! I almost thought this batch would be Fuzzyless.

    1. EXTRA! EXTRA! Family goat saved from the not so hot tin roof! Wave a flag for our hero Bozo!

    2. And I have always thought only Stephen King made high profits with “Shining”

    3. Bozo and the cop – two men at work (and where’s the umbrella guy with the doughnuts? Aaah! There he comes)

Today’s strips certainly definitely deserves a standing ovation for the spectacular artwork, folks. Such well done scenes which depicts three dimensions on two dimensional paper. The shading, the perspectives are simply spectacular. I don’t recall seeing such consistently excellent drawings in any daily funny gag a day strips with such 3d depths and details in proper perspective.

Not only the gags or subject matter in Bozo are good and entertaining, the artwork is excellent too. And not to mention that this comic relies solely on artwork as nobody in the comic ever utters a word. Except for a rare exclamation mark or signboards, there are no words uttered in this comic with powerful picturesque pictures.

A big thumbs up, and a big round of applause for Foxo’s marvellous masterpiece, the picturesque pantomime, the wordless wonder called Bozo!

Bozo is undoubtedly one of the very best comics to have ever graced a newspaper’s pages.

For those who came into the world later, in the ol’ days, milk was delivered in bottles.

Since it’s a comic strip and no one is preventing me, I’m going to say that it shows the Flood of 1913, which was a great catastrophe and remembered for years. That was really selfless of Bozo to give that stranded family his boat. Hopefully Gent will come along in one soon and help him off that house! At least they left him the white flag.

    1) Bozo should have rowed the boat ashore. 2) Somebody got ‘shined’. 3) While the city sleeps. Personally, I still miss the Milkman.

    1. I was just saying other day what a kind heart Bozo has. He rescued the whole family AND their pig, goat, and chicken, and then finding his boat was overloaded who did he kick out? Himself, of course!

If you don’t know Bozo you might think they overpowered him and robbed him of his boat – no, not with his strength! He gave it to them of his own free will.

    3. Lol. A drunken me, in 1978 at 3:00 AM, happened upon a squad car behind a tree in the Boston Gardens with two cops inside sawing logs. Always wished I had put a newspaper on the car’s hood.

1 Just noticed, the house is drifting downstream. Foxo was too good a draftsman to not easily maintain a steady background, so the house must be adrift. Bozo stayed behind to signal a navigational hazard to other rescue traffic.

Panel 1 Reminds me of an personality question I think is interesting.

It’s pouring nearly freezing rain when you drive by a bus stop and see three people waiting. One is your best friend who has done you many, many favors over the years. The second is a person you are strongly attracted to… so much so you think they might be The One. Both of them are looking worriedly at the third person, who seems far too elderly and frail to be out in such dangerous weather. There’s only room in your small car for one other person. Which one do you pick up?
