1 Bozo’s tab ran a bit steeper than he thought it would, fortunately he’s got the mad skills to pay it off.

2 Hope Bozo likes them ever-so-slightly overly done.

3 Professional newspaper thief forgot to start his getaway.

… And it would be a crime if I don’t openly appreciate this splendid comic which is so splendidly drawn with such great skill of perspective, that is, creating scenes with amazing three dimensional depths with drawings on two dimensional paper. The shading is done aptly too, which greatly enhances it.

Apart from the signboards, there are no words or dialogues, and the whole thing is completely done in pantomime. And all this with such glorious artwork where the scenes have depth and details, and drawn in proper perspectives which picture each scene in glorious three dimensional depth, whether it be an indoor or an outdoor scene, and FoXo really does the best in both.

It’s not just a foreground and a background as in other funnies, but every panel is a complete scene, as if we’re seeing a picture of a realistic world with cartoon characters. Such a joy to see such a joyous and splendid comic.

I’ll just say FoXo Reardon was undoubtedly unparalleled, and so is his magnificent masterpiece, the wordless wonder, the picturesque pantomime called BOZO!

Bozo is a complete entertainer who originally entertained in the last century and still continues to bring smiles in this century as well. And the artwork is a glorious example of excellence on its own.

So, yes of course, a big thumbs up and a big round of applause!

Lemme add that Bozo is not to be seen in a hurry. Take your time to see and enjoy the scene in every panel, whether one by one or once you’ve smiled or laughed at the gags.

Nowadays with people having shorter attention spans and all, especially on the internet, it is easy to miss out on really enjoying this beautiful comic and its wonderful aspects. Even I was missing out a lot for some days until I saw another commentator who drew my attention to the details.

Bozo remained a hidden gem for lotsa folks for a lotsa time. I hope these few words of appreciation will help any new visitors to not miss really enjoying Bozo.

    1. Bozo has a special suit, either rented or owned, for special occasions such as when he’s working at the Ritzy clubs. This answers the question that someone asked some days ago about whether Bozo is rich or poor. Bozo a poor guy with rich tastes. As we has seen before, Bozo has a rich heart too as he generously gives to the needy even though he himself is poor and can get needy at times. In this strip we see Bozo working as a dishwasher, but he uses this opportunity to enjoy feeling like a rich guy when he enters.

    2. No point in letting em hot dogs to waste. A funny one, not to be taken too seriously. Bozo runs to eat the hot hot dog weiners. Bozo not evil, but like us hungry bears he won’t let go a chance of gobbling free food!

    3. While newspapers still exist (and will continue existing for a long time in me country), their circulation has reduced thanks to the internet and the younger generation. These days you won’t see folks reading a newspaper in public as much as you see folks with their eyes glued to their smartyphones. But this wonderful gag of peeking in the newspaper has been beautifully done. The facial expressions and body language of the characters convey it wonderfully. And most of us here know and would have been through or done this newspaper peeking thing.

And speaking of body language and facial expressions, Bozo is a fully pantomime comic and it’s the body language and facial expressions of the characters that play an important role. In several ways Bozo is such a unique and unparalleled comic of excellent cartooning skills at many levels and aspects. And undoubtedly FoXo Reardon was a master cartoonist, one of the very best ever.

A big thanks to Mr. Micheal Reardon and Go Comics for running Bozo.
