…
Bozo brings such immense joy and pleasure every day. It such a delight to read these absolutely delightful comics done which are done with absolutely wonderful skills.
And what a splendid and unparalleled skill it is to make comics where no characters need to utter a word but the scenes, body language and expressions of characters tell the tale. And all this with such splendid artwork of complete scenes with background details all, drawn in great realistic perspectives, creating a complete cartoon world which invites us to be a part of it by entertaining us in such a rich manner. This comic is a beautiful epitome of the saying “a picture speaks a thousand words”.
So yes of course three cheers, big thumbs up, and big applause for the marvellous master cartoonist FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime, the ever entertaining ever energetic ever excellent evergreen entertainer BOZO!
And a big thanks to Mr. Micheal Reardon and Go Comics for bringing us these lesser known but absolutely wonderful gems, a rare and unique comic of splendid quality. Spread the word, friends, tell everyone so that BOZO can spread more joy to more folks.
Created in 1921, Bozo, the original pantomime comic strip, was published weekly in the Richmond (Virginia) Times-Dispatch from 1925 to 1945. Bozo fought both the Nazis and the Japs for the four years of World War II within the pages of the Times-dispatch and was rewarded with international syndication at War’s end in 1945 by the Chicago Sun Times Syndicate.
The strip was carried by Stars and Stripes, the newspaper of the United States Armed Forces and was very popular with our men and women in uniform. A hundred of those War time Bozo strips can be found in my book, "Whistling Down the Halls: “The Times and cartoons of America’s Original Pantomime Comic Strip Artist,”a 260 page book which contains about 800 cartoons by Foxo Reardon, (my dad) including 500 syndicated Bozo strips. It is available from amazon.com, Walmart.com, bearmanormedia.com, booksamillion.com, barnesandnoble.com, and other Internet outlets. If ordering, please search by entering both the book title and the name of Foxo Reardon together. And thank you for ordering.
HONEST WEIGHT-Ah the old thumb on the scales. SPRCIAL DELIVERY- They may have moved out of Bozo’s delivery area, but not the Post Office. SEA HORSE- All the He Men riding their little blow-up horses, not our hero Bozo, “HI HO! DOLPHIN FLIPPER, AWAY!”

1. The world’s weight, irksome galore
Even without the fraud of the guy from the store
2. The milk arrived just by the hour
When it expired and got sour
3. A happy ride thank god it was
Not the shark we feared in “Jaws”

1. Which one’s right, and which one’s wrong? We’ll never know.
2. Milk by mail, how can it fail?
3. You’ve never seen such a silly sea scene!

Meat. Milk. Separate. I still find the beach boring unless there is a bbq or some scuba diving involved. Not critiquing, just observing.

1 THE) MEAT SCALE IS BETTER: Bozo is unhappy with the weigher out front and goes to the meat section for one he thinks is better calibrated!
2) MOVE OF ADDRESS: Milkman Bozo finds a sign telling him where they moved to. So, he mails the bottle to them!
3) BOZO IS AN AQUAMAN: Crowded waters and people are riding air blown up toys. Bozo sees a real one and gets it to ride showing off what he can do!

1. Would have funnier if Bozo checked the weight on the groceries first, butcher’s second.
2. If only milk was sold on Ebay.
3. Bozo’s riding a dolphin!
