The last class I taught, I could honestly say, “I don’t know what will be on the test.” The lead professor wrote them without input from the associates, although we did teach from his syllabus.
In college I took notes, but never needed to study them before a test. The act of writing the note fixed it in my memory. I did loan my notes to others who had missed a class.
