I actually listen better when I’m doodling or coloring. Otherwise I find myself getting very distracted by the people around me. It doesn’t take much thought to doodle/color
I wasn’t allowed to take coloring books or other distractions to church—my mind had to wander on its own. (That was probably good training for future business meetings.)

Our Church has coloring books & crayons for the kids. They are on a table by the entrance. I’m sure she could sneak some for her “kids”.

My older boy would sometimes illustrate the pastor’s sermon. Then, sometimes, he would draw soldiers fighting.
