we’re living in a new place now, but my wife still makes fun of the clueless young woman who lived next door at our former location, the young woman who was constantly saying, “something that even a woman can do.” as my wife picks up the chainsaw (for example) she grins and says, okay, time to get down to work on something even a woman can do…"

Those boys became men and you became Aunty who learned out to spread the dirt

Ahh, the good ol days!

You can’t trust a girl who is too clean.

There were always those girls who you wanted on your team because they were just darned good players. Then a few years later Mother Nature changed both the game and the rules, and you still wanted those girls on your team, just for the chance to be near them….

Plucky girls, and lucky boys!

If those are bare feet you really get them dirty.

That was me too! I beat up a neighbor boy because he was picking on my little sisters!

This could be a new version of “This One’s For The Girls!”

We spent all summer in bare feet, playing outside till after dark, a whole group of us from the street.

My kid sisters. May they and myself never grow up.
