Is there a reason why George is a different color on Sundays? Monday-Saturday he’s just plain dark green but on Sundays he’s multiple shades of green.

There is a Raccoon Star called Procyon (also the Latin/Genus name for a Raccoon) in the constellation Canis Minor.

It is actually a binary star (two stars that revolve around each other and appear as one without a telescope).

Dakota Indians have a turtle constellation called “Keya,” in constellation Pegasus. The Cree have a turtle constellation which corresponds to the constellation Auriga.

Dinosaurs were invented in 1841.

Squirrels are vermin.

Turtles are mossy sadsacks too repulsive for soup.

George! Where is he when he’s not with us?

The Dakota actually have a turtle constellation called “Keya,” but in Pegasus, not Auriga. The Cree have a turtle constellation that is made out of the pentagon of stars that defineAuriga. And I seem to remember that the Maya had a turtle constellation as well.

There was an attempt to create the constellation Sciurus Volans, the Flying Squirrel, by William Croswell in 1810. However this was not taken up by later cartographers.Alas, dinosaurs never got a chance. It wasn’t until the 20th century that their real shape started to emerge from all the bones found by the diggers, until then it was a mishmash as those shapes were so outlandish for a 19th century man that they just guessed.

Now they’re all stars.

The fundamental laws governing a cartoon universe are evident. Hammy is God and is omnipotent.

Many of the 88 constellations we know now were defined in 1928, so there is no reason that you can’t make your own shapes to tell stories around a campfire.

If the Over the Hedge movie was ever shown at a drive-in, they might have had something close to constellation fame.

Anything can be a constellation. Even Verne.

Hammy’s constellations, are no more of a stretch, than those of the ancients.

We can always count on Hammy.

In the Southern hemisphere, do they call it “down North”?
