I talk to myself. With my wife. With my kids. With my friends…

And there’s the hat trick. A little late, but better late than never.

If she answers herself it’s ok that your not listening.

Funny!! I do the same thing with politicians!! I never pay attention to anything they have to say!!

Brutus is getting good at this.

My wife and I work for the same company. Yesterday, not my anniversary with the company, not my birthday, I get a card saying I am appreciated for being a thoughtful and caring person. So now my wife knows when I’m talking to her. I start my sentences with, "As a thoughtful and caring person, I was wondering what you think about… ". Or, (perfect timing), “As a thoughtful and caring person, I was wondering how your monthly cycle is going?”

Gonna sit right down and Write myself a letter

Is it rude to interrupt another person’s conversation with one’s self?

Similarly, my college chemistry teacher was often lecturing to an empty class.

It’s about time she got the attention she deserved!

Living with someone who is hard of hearing, it often seems like I am talking to myself.

Good call. Listening would only encourage her!

I stop occasionally to find out if I am talking to myself. If I ask myself to continue, then, yes.

I think it’s fair to say the Thornapple household is somewhat dysfunctional.
