Don’t fret Corky. When she gets her own place she’ll have you over to move her furniture around at least once a week.

There must be something wrong with me. I always picked out the best spot to place my furniture and never moved it, even once. Have lived in this house 24 years. Lived in the last one almost 25 years until we moved down here.

I’m feeling this…our older daughter was accepted to an out-of-state college, so we’ll be moving her there come August. She & I have an awesome relationship (we’re even watching the Oscars together tonight, as we have every year), so I’m really dreading it.

I never liked it when it was time for daughters to spread their wings.

But it’s a playhouse!

Our daughter is leaving for Germany this summer. U.S. Army.

Our daughter is an attorney. Not the lawsuit or criminal kind. We live in kinda opposite corners of the county.

The only furniture moving we have done is when we got two twin XLs to replace our Queen bed. Needed to have two beds so my husband’s could be set up with side railings and make it easier to change the sheets more often as his health declined near the end of his life. Separating the beds required a bit of re-arranging of a dresser and 1 book case on my side, but that is all the furniture rearrangement in 15yr of living in this apt.

That other move will come but enjoy this moment for now…..

He should visit the Stone Soup strips where Joan kept rearranging the furniture and the guys kept falling over it!
