Many years ago, I saw a story on TV called ‘The Scapegoat.’ It was about a guy whose job was to be fired whenever a department store had a customer complaint.
Being scapegoat does not offer job security – it puts you at the top of the list to be fired. They can always find another scapegoat after you’re gone… and sometimes they still use you as a scapegoat even after you’re gone…
