Michaela best stay out of view while on that windowsill, if Charlene catches her she’ll wonder why her daughter helps Ellie with the housework but not her.
Little Michaela on the table top looks like a cute little kitten. The shadow where her nose is, looks like a cat’s little black nose, her freckles from here, look like they could be whiskers. She just needs the ears.
Al looks so expressive with just a few strokes of the pencil/pen. Simple lines but so much in them. This artwork puts details so intricate and tight in some things (Like in the trucks) and then breaks down to ZEN like watercolor painting in other areas.
We have to keep the time dilation in mind, whatever it is for this comic. We can spend weeks of our time on what looks like minutes of their time. Still, enough time has passed we should see what Hobbs is up to soon. We know he’s not a monster.
Most refreshing of all is little Michaela just dealing with the problems at hand. Yeah, Auntie Ellie is a basket case, and Al has dropped a Dirty Bomb in his pants, but she has no fear. Time to knuckle down, grin and bear it, and turn to.

Well black sea devils are a thing why not “dirt devils”, don’t tell Michaela though, she’ll want to go for some super-deep sea fishing.

I love Al’s expression in Panel Four… “Toddlers! Who can figure ’em?”

And if that doesn’t work, she can go get the Dirt Satan.

“DIRT DEVIL!” “DIRT DEVIL!!”
(gets reminded of certain vacuum cleaners)
