Ellie does look tired, but still slightly amused, perhaps Michaela is having a positive effect here after all?

Well if a dirty diaper can still stand out it means the house isn’t quite that filthy, I guess Ellie’s housekeeping skills haven’t completely disappeared.

Still wondering when Hubbs is going to come back in and fix this mess?!?

That’s a perfect mom coment, Ellie must be coming around.

I hope Hubbs gets his act together and come back.

I’m wondering if the single-mom life is helping Ellie to un-clench a bit. It’s a shame, Hubbs would have had an easier time if Ellie had been more laid back.

Even if Hubbs comes back, and even if he comes back with an NFL contract, he abandoned his wife and infant child. As Sedine would say, “he’s gots some ’splaining to do!”

The romantic in me would love to see them work things out, but the realist in me knows that most people just don’t come back from something like this.

And honestly, the more time that goes by without Hubbs, the more self-confidence Ellie gets and less she probably misses him. She doesn’t need his absence to make her heart to grow fonder, since she has Al for that now.

Not even Nightcrawler’s teleportation smelled that bad.

Ellie seems to be pretty relaxed in the third panel. Maybe she’s slowly becoming not as tightly wrapped as she has been.
