For me, it’s the direct opposite. I get more anxious about my singing with any alcohol intake. I guess I’ve been singing too long to have alcohol on board.
we’ll leave the question about how english speakers managed to mangle karaoke into ‘careyokee’ for another time, but if you’ve never been stuck with an important client who insists on visiting his favorite karaoke bar and ‘crooning’ until the wee hours you don’t know what pure torture is…
Some people take karaoke much too seriously. I got dragged out to a karaoke bar one night, by a friend who was talent scouting for his band, because a waitress there insisted that she audition while using the karaoke machine… not surprisingly, it was a very disappointing experience…
