As an avid reader since childhood i love reading cover to cover. So i was horrified to discover my friend was in the habit of opening any given book(fiction) randomly at any place and start reading it from there – a habit he retains to this day. Many decades later it still sends shivers down my spine that such people exist.
I report without embarrassment that I used to read the last pages first, so I knew how it came out, then read from the beginning, for the enjoyment. It worked for me (don’t do that now).
