I’ve heard this kind of legend before. The beast usually turns out to be a man-eating plant.

For the longest time, in my very youth, I thought that a young person was a “miner”. And so were the folks who dig holes in the ground. It was mildly confusing, but even then, I enjoyed puns.

I men you left out details. Like size and preferred diet. You could be describing her cat for all we know.

Anyone else enjoy one of those “Belly of the beast” stories?

So the beast will eat you but suffer lesser consequences if caught.

In a few years, though, there will be a major difference!

Wood ticks? I always get them from walking in the woods, night or day.

My guess is the carnivorous “beast” is Phoebe, and they are near her home.

So, Killer Rabbit or the Black Beast of Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?

Methinks Marigold is pulling Phoebe’s leg.

Also, Phoebe, you have MARIGOLD THE BRILLIANT with you. You don’t need to worry about ANYTHING with her.

I’m kind of surprised that this strip never mentioned that today is National Unicorn Day. Don’t ask how i know that.*

*So I’ll tell you anyway: a friend of mine has a daughter who is really into unicorns.
